What is speedy-pc-fix?
I was trying fixing my PC a while back and spent an entire day searching for some registry cleaners online and found hundreds of them. Some were free, some paid but there wasn’t a review site that genuinely did some research from technical point of view, as well as a service/customer point of view. So I decided to start this blog where I plan to review at least one registry cleaner every month (I will to stick with one paid product a month for a while.)
I hope to share some tips/tricks that I have picked up over the years but honestly also trying to improve my writing skills because I know I suck at it!
For beginners:
What is a registry? Why is it important for a PC?
Windows Registry is a database that stores your computer hardware, software, security, user settings or profiles and property settings for folders and programs. As your computer boots, Windows processes the information in the registry to properly configure your computer. When you install a program, it will usually write some data to the computer’s registry. If you want to manually edit the registry for some reason, you can use the “regedit.exe” program which comes with the Windows operating system. However, you should not edit the registry if you don’t know what you’re doing because it could disable your computer.
How do registry cleaners help? What do they do?
A registry cleaner is software that fixes/cleans up your Windows Registry. The registry can become cluttered over time, storing defunct data and slowing system performance. A corrupt registry can also cause a system to freeze or crash. Using a good registry cleaner periodically can keep the system working smoothly and efficiently by deleting unused, corrupt and orphaned data. It is good practice to keep you PC system lean and clean you will also keep it running at good speeds.
